Every leather has its own character. Our handbags are made using genuine leather,
with different collections featuring different leather types such as Togo, Epsom,
Swift, or Box Calf.
Because leather type, tanning, finishing, embossing, and construction methods differ,
genuine leather does not always have the same softness, smell, grain pattern, or surface appearance.
Some leathers are naturally softer and more irregular in grain, while others are processed
to achieve a finer, more uniform and structured texture. Minor variations in grain, creasing,
texture, and appearance are normal characteristics of leather goods and can differ between individual bags.
ABOUT THE SCENT OF NEW LEATHER
A newly opened genuine leather handbag may have a noticeable scent. The scent of a finished
leather product does not come from the leather alone—it can also reflect the tanning and finishing
process, dyes, edge finishes, lining materials, adhesives used in construction, packaging, and the
enclosed environment during transportation.
For this reason, a new leather bag may initially have a stronger leather, finishing, or adhesive-like
scent when first removed from its packaging. This does not by itself indicate that the bag is made
from synthetic material.
If you notice a stronger scent when your bag first arrives, we recommend removing all packaging and
allowing the bag to air naturally in a cool, well-ventilated area. In most cases, packaging and
production-related odors will gradually become less noticeable with ventilation and normal use.
Please note: Scent alone is not a reliable method for determining leather composition, as the aroma
of a finished leather product can vary depending on the leather type, tanning, finishing, construction,
packaging, and storage conditions.
